Ski boots and ski – uhh.....

If you’re going on a ski holiday for the first time, or you are not a frequent skier you may not have all your ski clothes and equipment to hand when you book a holiday. Do not fret, these days you are able to hire everything from clothes to ski’s and it can bring the cost of your holiday day considerably if you are not planning on skiing often.

It is important you have all your skiing gear sorted before you head off on your holiday. Whether you are buying your own equipment or hiring your equipment at the resort it is vital that everything is arranged beforehand.

Hiring equipment is ideal if you are booking a last minute ski deal and therefore don’t have time to go and buy your own. Most ski resorts have modern ski equipment that is of a good quality and an advantage of hiring equipment is that if the boots or skis don’t fit properly you can go and get different ones.

If you are going to buy any equipment for your luxury ski holiday, we would recommend buying your ski boots. Nothing beats properly fitting ski boots which can mould to your foot shape. If you do buy your own pair of ski boots you should get used to wearing them before you head off on your holiday. Check the snow conditions before you head off on your holiday too so that you are prepared.

If you have you own skis an airline is likely to charge extra for these to go in the hold so it’s best to check this beforehand. If you are making your own way from the airport to resort it may be easier to take a hiking bag than a suitcase are they aren’t the easiest things to wheel in the snow.
